Incentives Drive Behavior

Hey guys! Chapter 3 of Naked Economics talks about the ways that incentives drive behavior. One of my points from my list of ten was that every regulation carries a cost, sometimes it’s worth it, and sometimes it’s not. Depending on how bad the cost is in the end run will determine the incentives along with the behavior to go through with the regulation. Whether or not the regulation will result in increased productivity within the economy comes into play as well. On the other hand, taxation can discourage productive behavior and investment.
