Picking Gems in the Nick of Time

Daily reminder to walk your lane peacefully — Contemplations

It baffles me the amount,
Of hours I put into this craft
To no cushioned mount
Of dollars in my account,

Yet I am bereft

Of vitality
When I don’t allow this passion
Of mine soar me
To my desired destination

I persistently long
For life’s subtle nuances,
As they keep me young
Immersed in that childlike resonance,

I roam the furrows of life
Carefree, unscathed by the tomorrows
Enjoying each moment of this gift
They call life — for I am different
From whom I was in the yesterdays

My relentless pursuit
To make sense of this great enigma,
Leaves me fruitless like a sour brut —
I choose to embrace the spark brewing
Inside my hardened wineskin

To carry me through what is unfolding
For my next chapter

Blooming season in effect — I am grateful for valuable lessons encountered along the way that sporadically resurfaced in my midst to remind me to take a chance on my worth.

This transcendent of journaling truly awakened an inner desire of proving “self” right, rather than being tossed back and forth by shallow opinions from people who have barely walked a mile in my shoes.

Don’t get me wrong; I take it to heart when something of value is shared. I am convinced that this ability has blessed me with an attitude to learn from each circumstance.

When it comes to the school of passion, I am a full-time student. To get far in life, you must be teachable and have tough skin to appreciate constructive criticism.

But — at the end of the day, nobody will inherently know you or your limitations better than you.
