Why remote training is the future

With all of the noise and news around the coronavirus, it makes a compelling case for remote training.

In 2020, a lot of companies are still meeting in person and training in-person which I understand.

There’s value being in-person.

But there are tools and platforms these days that have helped to make it less so.

People are flooding YouTube to learn new things every day. Whether that be how to cook something, how to snowboard or learn to improve their math skills — all of these can be learned through YouTube videos.

They’re used to online learning. The culture is shifting in this direction.

The nice thing about video is that it scales. You can train 1000 people simultaneously. And when you create the ideal training content, you can train the exact same way each time and through repetition, build consistent outcomes.

Difficult to accomplish in person.

Training is something that is continuous and needs to be done over and over to attain an exact outcome.

This means that having content created in video form is vital so you can deploy it over and over until people are applying it.

Similar to becoming great at anything — training takes practice and repetition.

Imagine having every step of the sales process mapped out followed by a series of training videos, in sequence that trains the team on the standard way to sell your SaaS software.

Now imagine a rep keeps getting stuck on a few key objections — so you send them back to the LMS to learn and re-learn the handling until they can competently overcome it.

Using video through LMS systems is easily the smartest, most efficient and cost-effective model today.
